Snuggie’s Runway Show
Snuggie, the popular blanket with sleeves, staged an intimate fashion show—with real fashion models—right in the flurry of Fashion Week on Tuesday morning at the 70 Park Avenue Hotel in midtown.
What was I thinking, skipping Snuggie in favor of Brian Reyes’ show? The Snuggie show would have been a riot and these blankets seem comfy. And maybe fashionable?
“We decided to showcase our new styles and we think it’s fun to do it in a big way down the runway during Fashion Week,” said Linda Hotz, senior brand manager at Allstar Products Group LLC, which owns Snuggie.
The run of show included 19 fall/winter blanket styles, including the classic blue Snuggie—the unisex style we’ve all seen on TV—to wild leopard and zebra, cool tie dye and camouflage prints.
